Maryland law states you have to have documented threats for your life in order to even be eligible for application of a concealed carry weapons permit. It is infringing on our 2nd amendment and right to protect ourselves and our families. Veterans, retired law enforcement officers, business owners and every normal citizen who is crime free will not be considered for a permit and denied if they apply. With open carry also not allowed means of protecting ones self is narrowed down to relying on the law enforcement officers who's response time will 9 times out of 10 not be quick be quick enough to prevent eminent danger.
