Request Math Courses no Longer be Required in College, but Instead as Electives

This petition is to request the President of the United States, Barack Obama, to eliminate the requirements for math courses at colleges and instead make them electives. A wide variety of students who seek several degrees don't need mathematics for their futures. Some students do, depending on the degree, and they will no doubt have to take those math classes. However, for the rest of students who don't need college math courses in their future, they won't have to take them because they will no longer be required. If the requirement is lifted, then students who have been continuously academically disadvantaged at math and those who simply don't need it won't have to take it.
