The appointment of Michael Taylor, a former Monsanto VP and Lobbyist, to the FDA is further evidence that the US Government prioritizes corporate interests over the interests of its people.
Taylor was at the FDA when Genetically Modified (GM) foods were allowed into the US food supply, without adequate testing or labeling. Mr. Taylor supported unlabeled GM technologies that harm consumers, including products using the Bovine Growth Hormone, which increases the risk of cancer. Taylor does not represent the true risks of GM products, and we have no evidence to expect his behavior to change.
The only pro-citizen stance is that GM foods are labeled for consumers to make informed decisions. Michael Taylor has a history of siding with the industry and not siding with the people of the USA.
