In the aftermath of the recent racist comments made by Clippers owner David Sterling, I ask the White House to look into the NBA and push towards a resolution to remove Mr. Sterling from ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers.
The United States is a diverse nation with people from all races and ethnic backgrounds. There is no place for Mr. Sterling in a mostly African-American sports league. He is against the values of the majority of NBA fans and the civil rights of African American players in the league.
I understand it is not in the White House's interest to get involved with matters of private businesses owned by citizens like Mr. Sterling, but this is a very serious matter of civil rights and racial discrimination.
