Request the NCAA's playing rules oversight panel to reject the proposed rule that slows up-tempo teams.

Created by J.M. on February 14, 2014

Oppose the NCAA rules committee proposal which would prohibit offenses from snapping the ball until at least 10 seconds had run off the 40-second play clock, slowing down the up-tempo, no-huddle attacks. This rule goes to the NCAA's playing rules oversight panel which will discuss the proposed changes March 6. We are suggesting President Obama to intervene in this matter and aid in successfully striking down this potential rule change. Innovation and creativity is supported in the classroom and should be expanded to athletic venues. The up-tempo offensive style exhibited by several NCAA football programs embodies this mindset. There is no data that shows an increase risk in athlete injuries that face or employ this tactic. Join the fight today to support and keep this style of football.
