This petition is about asking Obama to personally and manually fill out his 2012 IRS tax forms. Also during the 2013 State of the Union Speach to challange the members of congress to do the same.
The Internal Revenue Code and Regulations have become so complex and confusing that even the most educateded citizens struggle to accuratly fill out their personal returns. Most Americans must resort to hiring a qualified professional or using 3rd party tax software.
If the president and congress took the time to attempt to personally fill out their own returns, instead of hiring 3rd party professionals, they might better understand most Americans fustration with the current IRS system. This personal experience would hopefully better guide them in passing tax reform.
