We the signed respectfully request that Michelle Obama (and her husband) decline to speak at the Commencement ceremony in Topeka, Kansas. Graduation is about the kids that have worked hard to graduate from high school and for their families to celebrate this accomplishment with them. Neither the anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education nor Michelle Obama should over-shadow these kids, their accomplishments, and their graduation. In good taste, the Obamas should bow-out and allow these kids their special moment without it being tainted by politics. Allow them one last moment of their childhood - don't rob it from them.
