On October 14th, 2011 a U.S. military airstrike killed 9 people in Yemen. Among the dead was Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, a 16 year old American citizen. To date there has been no official comment from the Obama administration on why an American citizen, a child, was killed. In recognition of this administration's policy of incredible secrecy surrounding military operations, this petition asks for nothing more than simple acknowledgement. Acknowledgement of the facts; that Abdulrahman al-Awlaki existed, that he was an American Citizen, and that he was killed in a US airstrike on October 14, 2011 in Yemen.
