The Congressional Research Service (CRS) produces readable, in-depth analysis of proposed legislation and the current policies of the federal government to Members of Congress and their staff. There is no reason why such extraordinary taxpayer-funded resources should not be easily accessible to the general public. We respectfully request that the Obama Administration show its support for this commonsense measure to increase access to information, and hope that Congress will act to provide the American people with all the tools possible to better understand how their government works now and what policies it may pursue in the years to come.
