Request that the Republican Party explain why marijuana prohibition is acceptable, but gun prohibition is not.

The NRA continues to say that "guns don't kill people, people kill people." They often point out that we don't blame cars for drunk driving deaths. They also point out that gun control will be ineffective because criminals will still find access to them. By this logic, however, it makes sense that we shouldn't continue marijuana prohibition. Marijuana does not kill people, and it cannot be used to commit murder. Keeping marijuana illegal makes drug cartels money that could otherwise be made legitimately by United States citizens. By using their logic against them, it is our hope that they will realize they are wrong and work to end this senseless war on marijuana.
