Whereas, the United Nations Security Council has called the current Ebola outbreak "a threat to international peace and security."
Whereas, the CDC has demonstrated an exceptionally poor response to the current Ebola outbreak, thus allowing the disease to gain a growing foothold in the United States.
Whereas, public confidence in the CDC and its ability to manage the Ebola threat has been severely eroded following the agency's poor management of the crisis.
Therefore, the petitioners ask that President Obama request the immediate resignation of CDC director Tom Frieden.
