Request the resignation of Gil Kerlikowske as Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy.

After reading Gil Kerlikowske's responses to the several petitions on marijuana or its damning classification, and after hearing your inspiring inaugural speech reaffirming ".. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness", we strongly feel that Mr Kerlikowske's defense of standing federal law has been flavored too much by his excellent career in law enforcement.
The stigma of marijuana sale or use deserving criminalization and jailing no longer stands the test of public approval. Americans continue to be criminalized for activities which have harmed no-one. His ideas represent policies which ruin the lives of thousands of otherwise innocent Americans.
Please replace this fine officer with someone who can gauge the social impact of their decisions.
