request self-imposed Congressional term limits and reduce budget perks for Congress.

Created by D.M. on October 26, 2011

As many in Congress are holding hostage action to stimulate the economy and provide relief for many Americans under the guise of "cutting government spending first", those Members of Congress should initiate the example of cutting their spending and "perks" to the absolute minimum, and use their personal salaries and fortunes to perform the functions of their offices. Leadership should also give up their lavish offices and other gilded trappings and perform their jobs in open spaces (possibly a series of cubicles) as do many of their constituents.
Furthermore, as many campaign against "Career Politicians" in their quest for office, Congress should push for a "non-binding" resolution on term limits to TWO terms for Senators and FOUR terms for Representatives.
