At least two health care workers who were both aware that they had been in contact with the Ebola virus went on with their travel plans shortly afterward. One was on a commercial flight from Dallas to Cleveland and another boarded onto a Cruise ship in the Caribbean.
In order to discourage such behavior, and the increased risk of spread of Ebola, please use whatever power is available to strongly encourage Cruise Lines, Airlines, Rail Lines, Travel Agencies, Hotels, etc to issue refunds to someone cancelling due to recent contact with the Ebola virus.
Cruise lines are particularly worrisome because they are generally terrible at issuing refunds for late cancellations and also the best at spreading disease among passengers and crew.
