On 01/28/14, Rep. Michael Grimm threatened to throw reporter Michael Scotto over a balcony in response to his dislike of the reporter's words. This incident was recorded on camera, shared in media, and admitted to by the Congressman himself. His threats against Mr. Scotto, a citizen who enjoys freedom of speech, the press, and the rights to his own safety and protection from assault, were violating and unjust. Rep. Grimm should absolutely face criminal charges for his gross act of bullying, and it is hoped that the administration will encourage the district attorney's office to follow up on this request. There should be immense pressure on Rep. Grimm to both resign his position and answer to charges regarding allegedly-criminal conduct.
