Created by M.M. on September 03, 2014

Requesting the Department of Defense to reconsider the new Tuition Assistance policy regarding college instructional fees. The new TA policy will create a hardship for soldiers that are trying to complete higher education. Only the actual cost of tuition not to exceed $250 per-semester hour will be funded base on the new DoD TA policy. The cost of Lab fees and other fees charge by the college institutions will cost more than the total tuition covered. For example:
I am currently enrolled in a master degree program where the tuition cost is $150 per credit hour for instate student, below are list of fees that I am charge by the institution:
For my three Credit hour course under the new DoD TA policy, Army Tuition Assistance pays $450
The amount of Fees charge by the college: $664.57
