require an act of Congress to wage war or take any military action against another nation.

Created by M.W. on August 30, 2013

Historically, the United States required congress to declare war. Since George Bush, this is not longer the case, and the people of the United States do not want one or two men to have this power. Whether it be Iraq, Syria, or any other country - we want Congress to determine when we go to war, not the president.
