require additional labeling for natural ingredients on all food stuffs sold in the United States.

Created by G.T. on February 26, 2014

As it stands, manufacturers of food stuffs are not required to explain with any specificity the origin of "natural ingredients". This has a negative and confusing effect on the ability of parents, vegetarians and vegans to make informed food decisions. We request that all food stuffs containing "natural ingredients" such as "natural flavors", "natural and artificial sweeteners", "natural fruit flavor", "natural vanilla flavor", etc. be required to also include a notation as to the source of the "natural flavor". For example "contains natural and artificial flavors (plant derived)" or "contains natural strawberry flavoring (derived from animal sources)". In addition we request that all sugars denote they have been processed with bone char or other animal ingredients.
