As all other food and consumable products in the United States, alcoholic beverages should be held to the same regard as to allow consumers to know what they are ingesting. By providing this information and ingredients to these products, this may save the life of people who would otherwise take these products without any knowledge if they have an allergy to the enclosed ingredients. As a Type-1 diabetic, who needs to monitor the amounts of carbohydrates in everything that I eat, this petition hits very close to home.
President Obama, please take this into consideration and discuss with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to change this policy of keeping consumers in the dark about what we are buying. Thank You.
