We believe it is inapproprate and unethical for "Lean Beef Trimmings" (a.k.a. Pink Slime) to be added to our ground beef and sold to us without informing us that this is being done. While we recognize that there is no apparent health risk associated with LBT per se, we believe we should have the right to opt out of eating it if we choose to do so. Requiring all beef products sold in the USA to be clearly labeled with their "per cent lean beef trimmings by weight" will enable us to make that choice.
Please extend this requirement to cover cafeteria and restaurant menus as well.
