There are more cellular phones in use in the United States than the entire population. Texting, surfing and communicating via social media platforms with cellular phones while driving poses a serious threat to the safety of everyone. Technologies exist to curb such usage while driving. The government must protect its citizens by imposing the cellular phone manufacturers to auto-disable such features when the user is operating a vehicle.
