Require all citizens to vote in federal elections.

Our democracy is at risk when only 25% of eligible citizens vote and election can be determined by as few as 12% of the eligible citizens. Since some states can't be trusted to secure voting rights for all citizens, it is time to resurrect the concept of a federal mandate setting aside a Sunday in Nov as a federal holiday for the purpose of all citizens voting in federal elections. This would leave State and local elections in the hands of local and State authorities [still questionable]. The present situation is immoral and probably unconstitutional. There should be a legal mandate that all citizens are obligated to vote in federal elections. Our democracy is at risk when fewer than 25% vote and as few as 12% can determine the course of an election and the fate of our country!
