All displayed prices should include tax. This is simply a matter of convenience, and is common sense in most of the world. If an item is labeled $5, one should know if they have enough money to buy it without needing knowledge of the local tax rate or doing mental calculation. It may seem trivial, but it would make every American's life just that much simpler, and if we can do that, then why not.
