We the people request that the federal government move to the metric system of measurement and units. The advantages of the metric system over the current system are obvious and numerous; from finance to science education. Most Americans will quickly adopt the metric system if it was widely used by other people.
Should the federal government start using the metric system, it will encourage other business to follow that example and within a few years it will be ubiquitous.
It's time to get rid of our confusing sets of units; it's time to abide by the power of 10; it's time to move to the metric system; it's time to move into the future.
