Require all drivers or pilots of mass transit in the United States to be fitted with real-time drowsiness monitors.

Created by L.M. on December 08, 2013

Senator Schumer and Senator Blumenthal are proposing the mounting of cameras on the MetroNorth Trains to help identify drivers that may cause accidents in the future. There is commercially available technology that can in real-time alert a central monitoring station when a driver is fatigued. This allows proactive steps to be taken to stop an accident before it happens. Americans should not be interested in knowing when a driver fell asleep. They should put in place a system that stops him from ever falling asleep or losing focus. Please sign this petition to put glasses mounted drowsiness monitors on the head of all drivers, pilots, and engineers of US mass transit that can predict when a driver is about to become over fatigued.
