Require that all elected officials compensation is directly connected to any entitlement reforms.

Created by G.T. on December 20, 2012

With annual compensation beginning at $174,000 and eligibility for a fixed lifetime pension beginning after 5 years in service elected officials have no incentive to manage the needs of the middle class in an honest and forthright manner.

We propose that the compensation of elected officials be tied to the COLA increases of social security and uses the same calculation methodologies. Any pay raises / adjustments must return to being voted for and must be capped at the COLA rate for Social Security for that year.

We further propose that retirement eligibility age be matched to the age of Social Security and Medicare eligibility, additionally pension eligibility shall be matched to Social Security contribution requirements.

Require congress to have some "skin in the game".
