Require all elected officials to pass a test on their knowledge of the Constitution.

Created by G.G. on July 20, 2013

All elected officials are required to take an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic and bear true allegiance to the same, so it would make sense that they prove some type of knowledge about the Constitution to which they take their oaths and on which they are supposed to operate. Particularly a common misunderstanding is "democracy", which as Benjamin Franklin noted is nothing but "two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner" which is contrary to the Guarantee Clause of Section 4 of Article 4, which guarantees to all the States a Republican form of government. There are many other misunderstandings and neglects such as the Bill of Rights supposedly being archaic.
