Elected officials are in charge of making policy decisions that effect hundreds of millions, and foreign policy that effects billions. Yet these people are Human just like the rest of us and are subject to the same failings. If we are going to test people to make 7.25 an hour or to go on welfare It only makes sense that we should know if their decisions are being affected by drug use, and or addiction. Urine test are not effective enough in picking up cocaine, meth, barbiturates, and opiates. So instead hair testing must be obtained to guarantee that the 600 or so elected officials making policy that effects over 350 million people are doing so not under the influence of drugs.
