Require all employers to offer paid maternity leave to women in the United States

The United States is one in only 3 countries that does not offer paid maternity leave for new mothers. Having a baby is one of the most joyous events in a women's life, however can also be the most stressful when she realizes she must take this time off without pay. Some employers do offer paid maternity leave and even paid paternity leave but too few. We need to take a stand against this issue. The first few months of our childrens lives is a crucial time and for those of us who can't afford to take the much needed time off suffer along with our children.
