Require all filtered cigarettes sold in the U.S to employ filters that are 100% biodegradable within 180 days. Filters from discarded cigarettes make up a surprising amount of litter in this country with the corresponding impact to the environment. This petition is in no way intended to impact a person's decision to consume cigarettes. We just want to reduce the environmental impact of that decision.
