The benefits here are several-fold, not the least of which is ridding Congress of people who seem barely able to read, let alone think. By this metric alone, one can assume that the level of Congressional dialogue would be elevated by a factor of at least ten. It also would eliminate those who, for whatever reason, can’t find it in themselves to grow up beyond kindergarten levels of interest, thereby also elevating the institution beyond the toddler-ly sandbox where it now dwells. Test-passing also implies at least a basic, 1+2=3-like understanding of science and math, always helpful within the halls of the major governing body on the planet.
