All new firearms should be required to have non-removable RFID tags, so that law enforcement and security surveillance systems can more readily track unlawful entry of firearms in certain public places, such as schools. Technology can be developed to facilitate alarm systems and rapid response whenever firearms present an immediate threat.
It should be unlawful for anyone to remove such RFID tags installed by the manufacturer in such weapons. Anyone carrying firearms in public without such RFID tags should risk confiscation of firearms, if investigation shows that the RFID tags have been removed illegally. Manufacturers should make it as difficult as possible to remove such RFID tags, resulting in weapon non-operation if any effort to remove a RFID tag is made.
