Drivers are required to hold insurance because of the potential harm that can be caused by them. Guns owners should be insured in the same way. Victims of gun related injuries currently have no real protection, they should have. Gun owners should be required to hold a minimum level of coverage to ensure victims of gun related injuries are compensated for hospital treatment, loss of income due to injuries, pain and suffering and damage to property.
Legislators should work with the insurance industry to establish fair premiums for each type of gun.,
