Require all high school seniors to take courses in Health and Personal Finance in order to prepare them for adulthood.

Created by L.R. on November 18, 2012

We believe that all adults are responsible for their own health and financial affairs. High schools should require all senior lever students to take one semester of Health and one semester of Personal Finance.

The Health course should include the topics Nutrition, Sex Ed, Disease Prevention, Drug Education, Child Development, and Basic First Aid.

The Personal Finance course should include Balancing a Budget (personal, family, business, and government), Credit Card Responsibility, Interest on Loans (including student loans), Saving for Retirement, Tax Responsibility, and Career Placement.

We believe that kids who are better educated in these skills will be better prepared to live healthy, debt free adult lives.
