Require All High School Students to Take Two Years of Arts Courses

All secondary schools should require students to take two arts courses from the disciplines of their choice. The arts help students develop both sides of their brain; the logical and creative. Two courses should be required because exposure to only one course does not give students the time they need to truly learn these things. School districts would need to budget more money to the arts, but it is necessary for the betterment of student participation and character development. Studies show that involvement in the arts has numerous impacts on students, including but not limited to both academic achievement and social advancement.
