Congressional hearings are conducted for the purpose of obtaining truthful testimony about critical issues that can affect the lives of all Americans. The integrity of individuals testifying before Congress must be verifiable during hearings as their statements may strongly influence Congressional decisions on policies and laws. Americans deserve to know that the testimonial basis upon which Congress makes important decisions is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth- this is essential to fundamentally transforming government decision making and moving forward on transparency.
