All law enforcement officers should be required to record audio and video of their actions while exercising their authority as law enforcement. These recordings are to be used as evidence to protect the civil liberties of the officers performing their duties and the citizens with which they are interacting. This will help reduce and eliminate abuse of power and ensure that law enforcement is not violating our civil liberties when questioning, detaining or arresting someone. These recordings can also be used in court by the officer to justify their actions and behavior when both are done lawfully and professionally.
