Citizens all over the United States who have jobs have been taking both salary and benefit cuts, yet you don't see upper levels of government officials doing the same.
Government officials, from the Office of the President on down, should be required to endour the same method of "tightening the belt" as any other tax paying citizen in our country.
Failure to do this will send a message to the citizens of the United States to "Do as we say, not as we do",, or "We are above you" and those are wrong messages to send in this time of national crisis.
I propose all goverment employees and representatives take both benefit and salary cuts NOW!
