Corporations like NBC Universal should not be allowed to profit from international events like the the Olympic Games. To do so goes against the purpose and spirit of the games; for countries to come together and compete in peace and fellowship.
To this end, all major television networks (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, WB, UPN, PBS) should be required to broadcast live and uninterrupted coverage of the Olympic Games free of charge. To help support this effort all corporations should be taxed to help defray the cost of this undertaking. Part of the tax revenue would also go to the support and training of our Team USA athletes who represent us on the World stage.
This should be considered a required public service and civic duty for being allowed the privilege of operating in the United States.
