Law Enforcement Accountability and Confidence Restoration.
The petition seeks to require all mandated law enforcement officers to be equipped with a body camera to capture clear evidence in all encounters between mandated law enforcement officers and citizens. Stored recordings for a mandated time period may be equally accessed, used by citizens and law enforcement alike as admissible evidence in any court of law.
The aim of this petition is:
1. To restore the public's confidence in Law Enforcement.
2. To aid in holding Law Enforcement Officers accountable for their interactions with the public they are sworn to serve.
3. To provide clarity in any encounter for the equal protection of each party involved.
