require all manufacturing companies to label their products with the location of manufacture.

Created by S.H. on October 26, 2011

If every manufactured product was clearly labeled on the front of the package with the location of manufacturing customers could easily make informed decisions about how far a product was transported. This would allow customers to do two things: It would allow customers to choose to buy American made. It would also allow customers to choose between similar products based on distance of transportation. If you are shopping in Atlanta GA and you have the choice of 3 similar paper towels You could choose to have a positive impact on the environment, infrastructure wear and tear, and traffic levels by buying the paper towels made in Rome GA instead of Somewhere a thousand miles (or more) away. This would allow consumers to choose to buy locally and nationally.
