While living in a neighborhood and seeing what's happening there on a daily basis you have an opportunity to get to know the people, how they came to live in the area, what their stories are and can see first hand what help is needed to improve the plight of the children and families living there.
Being required to live in the poorest neighborhood in their district would encourage members of Congress to be certain that the well being of all their constituents are being taken into consideration when voting on laws and in their daily work.
By helping the poorest of our citizens to climb out of poverty Congess will be doing what they agreed to do when taking office - helping ALL their fellow Americans.
