With the recent tragedy in Newton, Connecticut in mind, let us stop the media from influencing more and more mass shootings. With this petition, we are asking for a law that will prevent the media from creating some unstoppable anti-hero; instead, we demand that major media outlets be required to refer to mass murders as what they really are: "stupid fucking assholes with guns."
