The Department of Defense and the Pentagon have changed the rules preventing women from being assigned all combat roles in the United States armed forces. As such, the segregation of those who must register for selective service and be eligible for draft should be ended and the rules amended to include all those who are now eligible to serve.
Women have been exempt from having to register because until today because they were not allowed in most combat roles within the military. It is time that all American citizens are required to make themselves available to defend this great nation in times of need.
