Require all politicians in Washington D.C. to take a 50% pay cut in order to reduce our National Debt.

Politicians in DC make extraordinary salaries. this is killing our country. i suggest they all take a 50% pay cut, then the available balance should be used to pay down the debt and rebalance the National Budget. If the rest of us have to live on a budget, so should the government. If we have to give up the things we want because we cant afford them, so should they. they want donations from the American people to help pay it down. I think they should voluntarily give up half of their $165,000-$400,000 annual salary first.
