We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Require all presidential candidates to make public their full tax returns within one week of their nomination.

Created by S.B. on July 27, 2016

It is critical that all Americans be able to effectively know as much about our presidential candidates, including their history of personal and business income tax returns going back 10 years. It is critical that we Americans be able to validate for ourselves that our presidential candidates are in full compliance with all tax laws, and to determine if their income tax returns are consistent with the policies and ethics they espouse on the campaign trail. Our country should be fully assured that our presidential candidates have not performed criminal and civil acts in reporting their income and in paying their legally due taxes.

Presidential candidates should be required, by federal legislation, to submit their tax returns to Congress for immediate distribution to the public.
