Require all prices to include all applicable taxes, and require rounding to the nearest 5 cents. Eliminate the penny.

I'd like to start a petition to the White House, Senate, and Congress, to require all entities, business and personal alike, to show the prices of consumer goods with taxes included. Not only would this help all people be able to get a better hold of their finances by presenting an accurate picture of the actual price of consumption, but it could be used to help eradicate the use of the Penny, which has become futile and wasteful. As of 2014, it costs 1.83 cents to make a penny. Producing the penny resulted in a loss of 22 million dollars in 2009 and 2010. By requiring all entities to include all applicable taxes in advertised and final prices, we could require those amounts to be rounded to the nearest 5 cent piece, and use that saved money and copper elsewhere to benefit the economy.
