We the people, as American consumers, deserve to know where the products that we buy are manufactured, produced, or grown. This will enable all consumers to, at their discretion, choose American made products over foreign competitors. While some requirements already exist, these are not sufficient. Some specific examples in particular stand out as examples: 1. Furniture should be clearly identified with country of manufacture while on display on any showroom floor in a retail store in the US. 2. Appliances and electronics should be clearly identified with country of manufacture while on the showroom floor on any retail store in the US. 3. Food, including bread, produce, meat, and all other food for sale in retail locations in the US should be labelled with country of origin.
