Require all public bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms to be private and gender-neutral

Created by P.B. on April 29, 2016

It seems to make most sense just to require all bathrooms to be private and gender-neutral with a common wash area. The private bathrooms in the typical American home work well without the need to segregate by gender or gender identity. Additionally, all public changing areas, such as locker rooms, should be mandated to be unisex and sufficiently enclosed for privacy similar to department store fitting rooms. Lastly, all public showers should be required to be private by sufficiently enclosing them as well. They’re actually just as affordable to construct, more efficient, safer, sensitive to all groups, and do not segregate whatsoever. I believe that the issues that we are facing today really stem from a lack of personal privacy and unnecessary segregation more than anything else.
