require all public schools to have adequate security measures in place to avoid any further loss of life.

Public School shootings do not need to happen, we are a country with the resources and know how needed to avoid this. Children should not have to fear going to school and parents should not have to fear sending their kids to public schools. There needs to be measures taken to ensure the safety of our children AT ALL TIMES while they attend school. If it takes installing metal detectors and posted security guards in every school in the nation then so be it, we need to ensure that a portion of our tax dollars are given for this effort. I am requesting that measures be taken to stand up a program to ensure these safety measures are put in place, to ensure all public schools get the resources they need to keep our kids safe.
